An important factor in remaining demonstrably compliant is changes in laws and regulations that may impact the obligations in your register.
Because the way Changes are assessed differs between Belgium and the Netherlands, we explain both situations below.
Overview per environment
Belgium
For Belgian users, legal amendments and new legislation are proposed based on the organization profile. This profile is built using relevant (sub)keywords.
Left side
On the left side you can see at a glance:
- the document to which the change relates
- an icon indicating whether a change act is available
- the publication date and effective date
- the type of change (new, change or expired)
Change acts are only added when it concerns laws or regulations from your register that have been changed or expired.
Right side
On the right side you will find information about:
- the number of registers affected by the change
- the relevance of the change (yes, no or to be determined)
In addition, you see the status of the change:
- Released – default status where changes are automatically released based on your register content
- In progress – additional research or actions are needed
- Informative – only applicable for customers with a legal compliance contract. Informative is not a compliance status.
- Completed – the evaluation of the change is fully completed
The Netherlands
In the Dutch environment, on the left side you immediately see:
- the publication date of the change
- the effective date
- whether it concerns a new obligation or a change to an existing obligation
On the right side you find information about:
- the number of registers that may be affected
- whether there is an exact match
The color of the indicator provides additional explanation:
Orange – Exact match: a fragment from your register has been changed
Red – The change occurs in multiple registers, with at least one change already processed
Grey – No change: there are no changes impacting the obligation recorded in your register
